Transnistria, in Moldova, is recognized as a country only by Transnistrians, which does not prevent this former Soviet territory from having its own flag, its own president and its own capital, Tiraspol. Many of its inhabitants miss the days when Moscow ruled over all of Eastern Europe.
Today, the Moldovan government cares little for their opinion and is moving closer to a European Union that the Transnistrians do not want. Nicolas Righetti paints an original portrait of the inhabitants of this country which is not one.
